A Mountainside Family Reunion

We were asked to take extended family pictures for a family reunion happening in the mountains above Hanna, Utah.  Family reunions are wonderful!  I love trying to guess who are the brothers and sisters and who they belong to.  I'm not very good at it, I'm probably right only about 30% of the time, but I still think it's fun.

At this reunion, there was "Grandma Susan."  She was the first person my husband and I met when we arrived at their rented cabin.  Her personality is so welcoming and full of life that I felt we were instant friends.  Then more friends were added to the mix as we met each of her 3 children and their spouses and children.  I could tell that this family has fun together!

So, with this session, we took large family group shots as well as individuals of grandma and each of the grandkids, and even some pictures of the couples.  The shade trees were so welcoming on this hot summer morning, so we headed there for our pictures.

There were an even dozen grandkids there and they each took their turn on the bridge smiling for the camera.  There was one grandchild that gave us all kinds of cute poses and smiles, so she got a few more shots.

There was one couple that had their engagement photos taken by a river and wanted to recreate that, so we found a patch of ground and it was perfect.
The last family group shot we did was at the end of our photosession and a few of the kids let their fun personalities shine.  We enjoyed getting to be a part of this family reunion and having the opportunity to take their pictures!
