In A Peach Orchard - Whitmore Family

This sweet family of 5 (and a dog) lives near a peach orchard in southern Utah County.  They wanted a picture with the fall leaves that were very bright this year, and with the recent addition of another baby boy to their family, they wanted new family pictures.  The peach orchard was fenced completely around with signs that warned trespassers.  Luckily, we asked a neighbor who was able to put us in contact of the owner of the orchard that gave us permission to take pictures there if we didn't disturb the sprinkler drip lines or play in the trees.  By the time we got permission, the sun had only moments left before hiding behind the mountainside, so we were under a time crunch.

Luckily, we got the oldest boy to give us a sweet smile.  He was a little uncomfortable at first, but after we asked him to tell us jokes, he relaxed and we all were smiling!
The next youngest is a sweet 3 year old that is a busy, busy boy and has little time for photoshoots, for there is much too much to be discovered!  He did stand for a few seconds for us to get a shot of his adorable little self contemplating his next move.
Then it was time for a mommy shot with her new baby.  Just as she got down to pose with the baby, his 3-year old brother ran up and just had to hug and love on him.  He really, really loves his new baby brother!  So, the photo ended up being with mommy and her two youngest boys.  It's too bad we didn't get her oldest to come and join in on the group hug!
When it was time for the whole family to get together for a photo, we lined everyone up.  The daddy got to hold the baby.  The mommy was posing with her oldest, and the 3-year-old got to hold the dog's leash.  He looked up at his mom to see if she really meant to hand him the leash, and then realizing the opportunity and power that he now held, he took off on an impromptu walk before his parents could stop him, tugging the dog along.

Unfortuantely, this ended up with the dog getting excited and taking off running which just landed our poor 3-year old face down in the leaves and tears in his eyes.

After a hugs from his mom, he was fine, and was ready to play again.  So, we let him.

When the photoshoot was nearing an end, we snuck a shot in of the brand-new baby brother who had had enough and was wanting to go home.  We didn't get the happiest shot of the sweet baby, but it was enough that we got him to look at the camera and show off his darling blue eyes!

We did get a mommy and baby shot.  She angled him perfectly so you can't see that the baby is actually crying in the photo.

Oh!  And somewhere in there, we took a photo of the happy couple that started it all.  By then we were really losing light.

I want to end this post with this last photo that shows an accurate look at what family photoshoots often turn out as.  It's acutally my favorite picture of the entire photoshoot and it  makes me smile so much.
